Perplexity IPO

Perplexity began with an answer engine using web information and source references. Enterprise Pro extended the service into organizations, and the product has expanded into Computer workflows. The October 2026 changelog describes automations, connected tools and recurring work, making the business broader than a search box alone.

That evolution creates several analytical questions. A search product competes for attention and trust; an agent operating business tools must demonstrate reliable execution and appropriate permissions. Our analysis would examine whether customers retain the service after experimentation and whether model and tool-use costs can be covered by what they pay.

Reuters reported in June that Perplexity planned a 2028 IPO independently of the listing decisions of other AI companies. A CNBC interview with CEO Aravind Srinivas provides executive context. This is a stated ambition without a confirmed calendar date or priced offering.
