Kraken parent adds continuous dollar settlement with SGB
The 5 October partnership extends Payward's institutional infrastructure. It starts with selected dollar transactions and leaves the IPO timetable unresolved.
Settlement outside the banking day
Payward and Singapore Gulf Bank announced a partnership dated 5 October 2026 that connects Payward with the SGB Net clearing network. The initial service supports round-the-clock US dollar settlement for selected institutional clients in eligible jurisdictions. More clients and currencies are planned, rather than established across the entire platform.
The bank also intends to use Kraken Prime for digital-asset liquidity. This adds another connection between the group's institutional trading and cash-movement services, without disclosing the new relationship's revenue contribution.
A broader infrastructure case
Our assessment is that faster funding can be valuable where clients trade continuously but bank transfers have fixed operating windows. The commercial question is how much activity the connection attracts and what it costs to maintain dependable settlement and counterparty controls.
The development follows September's Nasdaq Ventures investment agreement and tokenized-equity collaboration. Together they broaden the operating areas a future investor would need to examine. An investment agreement with an exchange operator is still separate from a stock-market listing.
The offering remains unresolved
Payward's confidential S-1 submission in November 2025 is confirmed. September reporting described a later possible IPO window, but no new date was company-confirmed by 7 October. The SGB partnership is an operating milestone. It neither supplies public offering terms nor proves that Kraken shares have begun trading. A public prospectus would be needed to connect the expanded infrastructure strategy with financial results and issuer risks.
